Fibromyalgia is still a mystery – experts can’t agree on its cause and symptoms, and there’s no definitive cure yet. However, we’re going to show you how to reduce the pain naturally and without side-effects.

Fibromyalgia is a human disease that causes chronic muscle pain usually accompanied by fatigue and weakness. The symptoms vary from patient to patient, and medicine still has problems defining and understanding the disease. In general, experts suggest that fibromyalgia is related to anxiety and depression.

The disease affects between 3-5% of the world’s population. It can affect anyone regardless of age or gender, although it’s more common in women than men. Most of the symptoms are chronic and vary from person to person. The most common symptoms include pain and discomfort in various body parts. Once the disease is diagnosed, people undergo a series of medical treatments that should reduce the pain and other problems related to it. Here are the main symptoms of the disease:

  • Muscle pain;
  • Excess fatigue and exhaustion;
  • Tired and weak muscles;
  • A burning sensation on the skin;
  • Difficulty focusing;
  • Sleeping problems such as insomnia and nightmares;

Some patients may experience rare symptoms such as constant nasal congestion, irritated bladder, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, painful menstruation and dry eyes, as well as loss of balance and increased sensitivity to certain smells, loud noises or foods.

Although the cause is still not known, experts have related fibromyalgia to depression, anxiety, hormonal imbalance, poor diet and vitamin D deficiency. Treating the disease is not easy as it encompasses several other conditions. The treatment usually tries to improve the symptoms, but it can worsen some of them and complicate matters. One thing all doctors agree on is that you’ll need to eat a healthy diet.

Here are a few natural remedies for fibromyalgia:

  1. Orange juice and cabbage


  • A cup of fresh orange juice
  • Cabbage leaves


Mix all the ingredients in a blender and drink the mixture twice a day – a cup in the morning and a cup before going to bed. Take the remedy every day for a month to improve the symptoms. You can prepare this juice easily, and can even take some cabbage leaves with you at a restaurant – just order some orange juice and ask the waiter to mix the leaves with it.

Thyme and ginger tea


  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
  • 2 cups of water


Boil the water in a pot, then add the ginger and simmer the mixture for 3 minutes on low heat. Now, take it off the stove, add the thyme, cover the pot and leave it to cool down for 10 minutes. Finally, strain the tea and drink 2 cups of it a day. If you’re suffering from high blood pressure, you should prepare the tea without the ginger. Take a glass before lunch and another before going to bed.
